Sales executive Bjørn Wallentin will join Aker BioMarine as Senior Vice President QRILL Aqua Sales and Aker BioMarine’s current Director of Sustainability, Ragnhild Dragøy, will take on a new role as Vice President Product Management, a newly created department within Animal Health and Nutrition. Bjørn Wallentin was Regional Vice President for the Americas region at Jotun, a company where he has spent 27 years of his career in a number of different roles. Ragnhild Dragøy joined Aker BioMarine in 2021 as Director of Sustainability. She previously served as Research Director, Marine Biotechnology, for Nofima Norway.
Andreas Oebbeke has taken over as head of the Animal Nutrition division at Alzchem Group. He has held leading positions at major companies in the German and international feed/feed additives industry, most recently as Sales Director at a global leader in animal nutrition.
DMC Biotechnologies has appointed Kenny Erdoes as Chief Operating Officer. Erdoes has more than 20 years of experience in process engineering, project development and manufacturing operations.
Herbonis has appointed Laurent Peron as Regional Commercial Lead Europe. Peron has an experience of +25 years in the animal nutrition and health where he occupied different sales and management positions. His last positions were with Novus Europe as Sales Manager and Vetagro S.p.A. as Sales Director Western Europe & Africa.
Dr. Theresia Lavergne has joined the Natural Biologics team to serve as technical service lead. In this newly developed position, Dr. Lavergne will work closely with the sales teams to identify product applications at the farm level. Dr. Lavergne has spent 16 years as a professor and extension specialist for Louisiana State University and the last six years working in a technical service role for another animal nutrition company.
Nuproxa Group of Companies announced the arrival of Felipe De Conti Horta, as General Manager Europe. Horta is a veterinarian and has more than 16 years of experience in commercial and product management dedicated to the natural additives industry. Horta will lead the European sales team with the objective of improving the markets of Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, and Czech Republic and expanding to new markets such as central, eastern, and northern Europe.
The Board of Directors of PhosAgro elected a new Management Board, which includes Mikhail Rybnikov, Alexey Sirotenko, and Dmitry Morozov. In addition, the list of candidates for election to the Board of Directors of PhosAgro at the annual general meeting of shareholders was approved, which includes all current members of the Board of Directors.
Volker Büttel has become CEO of Thai Union’s Rügen Fisch with its subsidiaries Hawesta-Feinkost Hans Westphal GmbH & Co. KG and Ostsee Fisch GmbH & Co. Produktions- und Vertriebs KG. Büttel is responsible for strengthening Rügen Fisch’s competitive position. He will continue the integration of Rügen Fisch into the Thai Union organisation. Büttel joined from northern German beverage company Hansa-Heemann, where he was responsible for marketing and sales. He replaced Jens Vogler on 31 May.
