17 September 2021 – After 10 successive years of growth in all of its market segments and in line with growth prospects in coming years, as well as its strategy to develop local branches and partnerships, France’s Techna Group is again strengthening its international manufacturing presence.

Techna is currently building a new premix plant in Turkey, Jean-Marc Pinsault, Techna’s Managing Director, and Jean-Luc Mousset, Techna President, told Feedinfo at the SPACE 2021 trade show in Brittany yesterday.

The Turkish plant, which will cater to customers in Turkey and in neighbouring countries, is expected to be operational in early-2022, said Pinsault and Mousset, who have been at the helm of the group since 1 September 2020.

Meanwhile, the company, in partnership with a local firm, will see its technologies and solutions deployed in a new factory in Algeria being built by the partner firm, Pinsault and Mousset added. This unit is expected to start up before the end of 2021.

Beyond Turkey and Algeria, Techna is also contemplating options for building its manufacturing presence in India and China, they said.

Explaining the rationale behind these projects, Pinsault commented: “What’s important to bear in mind is that Techna is above all an independent provider of advice and services. The products are important but our development as a company relies very much on human interactions and expertise. We are seeking to build international platforms with local experts. It is crucial that we first secure the adequate local expertise and human resources before deciding on how we supply those markets.”

Techna was founded in 1964 in the Nantes region. Approximately half of its revenue is currently generated in France and the other half in international markets.
