13 January 2021 - Novus International has entered a partnership with biotechnology company Agrivida.

Agrivida is a privately held company based in Massachusetts, founded in 2003 by scientists from MIT who discovered a way to incorporate feed additives directly into corn grown for production animals.

The partnership will combine Novus’s research, sales and marketing capabilities with Agrivida’s technology. The partnership will consist of a R&D collaboration to explore new products and solutions, and will allow both companies to grow the customer base. Novus will make Agrivida products available to customers in the U.S. immediately and registration is underway to expand to other countries.

Al Zimmerman, Senior Director of Global Product Development at Novus, commented: "Novus launched its plan to revitalise the company’s focus in 2020. A major focus of Project Destiny is to incorporate novel and innovative technology into the nearly 30-year-old company and we're doing that with our partnership with Agrivida. This is a true strategic partnership that extends significantly beyond a distributorship with focus on investment in developing innovative and novel technologies and products for animal health through nutrition."

"Novus’s CEO and President Dan Meagher understood very well the value and innovation that this technology could bring to the industry after serving as Agrivida’s CEO from November 2013-October 2019. Novus’s Board of Directors not only recognised the significance of the technology but also the strategic potential of Novus’s partnership with Agrivida," he added.

Rajiv Singh, CEO of Agrivida, also said: "We are thrilled to partner with Novus, an organisation that shares our commitment to improving the world of animal health and nutrition through new technologies.”
