Mars Petcare Australia has said it will invest A$112.6 million in its Wodonga, Victoria factory to expand manufacturing capabilities, adding another 7,800sqm.
The extra manufacturing capacity will initially be for around 290 million single serve cat food pouches.
“This significant investment will allow us to respond to pet trends including the continued rise in cat ownership - growing at nearly 4% per year – more than twice as fast as our dog population,” commented Craig Sargeant, General Manager of Mars Petcare Australia.
The expansion is expected to be fully operational by mid-2025.
