Arxada, a global leader in specialty chemicals formerly part of Lonza Specialty Ingredients, has appointed Peter Frauenknecht as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Peter will be based in Basel and will join the Arxada Executive Leadership Team. Jan Kantowsky, who has served as Interim Chief Financial Officer since February 2022, will ensure a smooth transition before returning to global consulting firm AlixPartners.
On Nov. 21, Cargill announced its Chief Operating Officer Brian Sikes had been elected President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective Jan. 1, 2023. Sikes will succeed Dave MacLennan, who joined the company in 1991 and served in multiple executive roles, including CFO and COO, before becoming the company’s Chairman and CEO in 2013. With this transition, MacLennan will assume the role of Executive Chair of Cargill’s Board of Directors.
France's CCPA Group appointed François Pellet as Group CEO on 1 November. Pellet’s career has included work at Hubbard, Provimi Group, and Adisseo, as well as a previous stint in CCPA.
Brad Wittig was appointed Managing Partner at FNF Ingredients Canada Inc., a position starting on Dec. 1. Wittig’s role will include the establishment of a permanent Canadian presence for the business.
The supervisory board of ForFarmers N.V. this month nominated Theo Spierings as member of the Executive Board of ForFarmers for a period of one year, to be appointed by the general shareholders meeting. An extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (‘EGM’) will be convened for this, which is expected to take place in January 2023. Mr Spierings will start his activities on 1 January 2023 and upon his appointment will hold the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Kemin Industries has added Dr. Jason Shelton to the Kemin Nutrisurance leadership team as Global Vice President of Research and Development for the company's pet food and rendering technologies business unit. Prior to joining Kemin, Dr. Shelton spent more than 18 years with Cargill, holding various leadership positions across multiple functions and geographies.
Alanna McDonald joined Mars Petcare as the Regional President for its Mars Pet Nutrition division in North America on November 21, following the appointment of Ikdeep Singh as Global President for Mars Pet Nutrition in May.
Kurt Wegleitner was appointed the new Managing Director (MD) of German feed additive company Phytobiotics Futterzusatzstoffe GmbH on 1 November. The current MD and owner of the company, Dr. Hermann Roth, will leave his place to focus on the management of the banking, suppliers, finance and IT, production, pre-market risk investments and administration departments.
