Aviagen has announced that Dr. Kate Hayes has been named Vice President of Veterinary Services for North America. Based in Elkmont, Ala., Dr. Hayes will report to President of North America Dr. Marc de Beer. Before accepting her current position, Dr. Hayes served Aviagen as Associate Veterinarian and then Production Program Veterinarian , where she effectively led the grandparent (GP) and great grandparent (GGP) operations of Veterinary Services, as well as the Elkmont, Alabama, Veterinary Laboratory.

BioResource International (BRI) announced Flemming Mahs will join their executive leadership team in the role of Chief Commercial Officer, with a focus on portfolio commercialisation. Flemming joins BRI most recently from Amlan International where he led the start up and commercialisation of life-science and bacterial controlled science-based animal health portfolio. Flemming previously worked for nine years with one of BRI’s key distributors, Novus International.Flemming holds an MBA from the Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor’s degree from Lindenwood University.

Cargill has named Helene Ziv-Douki president for Cargill’s Aqua Nutrition business, effective immediately. Ziv-Douki, who joined Cargill in 2003, succeeds Pilar Cruz who was recently promoted to Chief Sustainability Officer, a new role for the company.
Ziv-Douki first joined the animal nutrition and health team in 2017 as the risk management and sourcing director for the company’s aqua nutrition business.

The Institute for Feed Education and Research (IFEEDER) announced the addition of Lara Moody as its new executive director, effective April 30. Moody joined IFEEDER from The Fertilizer Institute, where she served as the vice president of stewardship and sustainability.

Ocean Harvest Technology has appointed Dr. Hadden Graham as their Managing Director.
Hadden has over 30 years experience in building animal feed businesses globally and will lead the sales team in the management and growth of the company. Hadden’s prior experience in the animal feed industry saw him working for Finnfeeds/Danisco Animal Nutrition as Technical Director. Further experience saw him act as Global Services Director of AB Vista (part of ABF). He also served as President of the European Feed Additives Association (FEFANA).

Novus International has appointed Alfred Zimmerman as Chief Innovation Officer. Zimmerman has been with Novus since 2015, most recently serving as Senior Director of Strategic Innovation & Product Management. In the role, Zimmerman will work with the company’s R&D teams to identify ways to grow the specialty product line while also looking outside Novus for opportunities to bring new technologies and services to customers.

Novus International also said that Uwe Ranft was named Chief Strategic Marketing and Technology Officer. In this role, Ranft will focus on strengthening the company’s Strategic Marketing and Technical Service teams and oversee the strategic accounts business. Ranft has been with Novus for 17 years and most recently served as Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Trouw Nutrition appointed Michael Brebbia as Director of Global Operations. Michael will report directly to CEO Saskia Korink and will become a member of the Trouw Nutrition Leadership Team. He joined Nutreco in July 2018 and brings to the role both a strong international manufacturing & supply chain track record built at Danone & Roquette, as well as experience from leading the operations function in the Trouw Nutrition ECAM cluster.
