03 February 2021- India’s Jubilant has completed the demerger of its Life Science Ingredients business as of February 1st.
The new independent business, trading as Jubilant Ingrevia Limited, includes the animal nutrition and health solutions unit, with a portfolio of vitamins, mineral premix, stress regulators, amino acids, herbal choline, herbal non-antibiotic growth promoters, egg quality enhancers, toxin binders, acidifiers, enzymes and emulsifiers.
Specifically, the company is a dominant player in the global production of vitamin B3 (niacinamide and niacin). It is also one of India’s leading producers of choline chloride.
Outside the animal nutrition space, Jubilant Ingrevia also produces ingredients for agrochemical, pharma, human nutrition, personal and consumer care, and other industrial uses. It operates five plants across India.
The demerger was proposed in 2019. The remaining pharmaceuticals and contract manufacturing business is henceforth known as Jubilant Pharmova.
