14 September 2020 - Evonik Nutrition & Care today launched its own guanidinoacetic acid (GAA) – a natural creatine source - product for livestock diets.

According to Dr. Torben Madsen, Head of Product Line Sustainable Healthy Nutrition at Evonik Animal Nutrition, adding the new GAA product to the feed “closes the gap in creatine supply, thereby increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of nutrition and optimising production costs of farm animals.”

The launch of the product (called GuanAMINO) comes almost two years after Evonik’s former supplier AlzChem Group terminated its agreement for the product called CreAMINO.

The end of the previous arrangement with AlzChem, according to Evonik, opened options for the company to further develop the use of GAA in animal nutrition, has allowed to take full ownership of GAA production and supply the global market with its own product.
