2 December 2021 - Dutch feed suppliers ABZ Diervoeding and De Samenwerking are discussing a merger of operations which would be effective as of 1 January 2022. The merged businesses would be called ABZ De Samen and, with joint sales of 700,000 tonnes of compound feed, would bring advantages in terms of scale.
In a joint statement, ABZ Diervoeding and De Samenwerking said they have been working together for many years and in many domains, including the purchase of raw materials.
“The cultures of both companies are a good fit ... The merger is therefore the result of strength and a shared conviction to want the best for the members and to be distinctive in the market, now and in the future,” ABZ Diervoeding and De Samenwerking said.
ABZ Diervoeding has production sites in Eindhoven, Stroobos, Markelo and Leusden. De Samenwerking operates a plant in Haastrecht.
