17 June 2021 - As of 1 July 2021, Ajinomoto Animal Nutrition Group, Inc. (AANG) will be integrated into parent company Ajinomoto Co., Inc. in a simplified absorption-type merger.
Upon announcing the simplified merger in late-April, Ajinomoto Co. said that AANG no longer needed to maintain its corporate status having fulfilled its purpose in Ajinomoto Co.’s business structural reform focused on asset-light management and business specialty enhancement.
Since the merger is with a wholly owned subsidiary, the impact on consolidated business results for Ajinomoto Co. will not be material.
“The rights and obligations of AANG will be comprehensively inherited by Ajinomoto Co. Functions of AANG will remain as ‘Customized Feed Solution Dept.’ within Ajinomoto Co.,” said a company spokesperson.
